‘Time for a Trade’: Twitter Reacts as Lakers’ Lack of Chemistry Is Exposed Against vs Cavaliers
Back at the Staples Center, the Los Angeles Lakers take on the Cleveland Cavaliers in their 6th game of the season. Coming in with a record of 2-3, they will certainly look to back up their shocking loss to OKC Thunder. The Lakers need to improve their late game tactics and their previous loss was proof. The purple and gold lost despite being up by 26 points at one point. After missing two games, LeBron James is also making his return after missing the previous two games to ankle soreness.
Apart from him, the duo of Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis are doing their job. In the King’s absence, they took over for the Lakers and showed out. Notably, AD has been scoring 30 points in back-to-back games since LeBron has gone down with ankle soreness. On the other hand, Westbrook put up his first triple double in the last game, but turnovers are still an issue.

Going up against a Cleveland, it will be an interesting matchup. The Cavaliers enter the game with a winning record of 3-2. However, the Lakers are struggling to keep possession and fans are not liking it.

Fans disgusted as Lakers turn the ball again and again
The purple and gold received good news with LeBron James making his return. Likewise, they started the first quarter strong taking a 4 point lead early. Westbrook was aggressive for the Lakers tallying 7 points. However, things went off after that. The Cavaliers went off on a 13-0 run to end the quarter and took the lead to end the first quarter. The main reason for this was the Lakers’ turnovers.
Lookin at the Lakers struggle, fans were quick to get on it. They did not enjoy the basketball in front of them and even called it ugly. The Lakers racked up a total of 10 turnovers in the first quarter alone. They couldn’t keep a hold of the ball while the Cavs continued to hurt them because of the turnovers.

Chemistry is being highlighted a lot with any Lakers game. Despite having many new faces, the chemistry seems to be lost rather than gone off. There have been many unforced turnovers coming every game. Moreover, conflicts are always coming up when the team struggles on the court.

Analysts expressed their concern about chemistry issues to come when the Lakers made these moves. With three big stars on the team, sacrifices had to be made. However, the Lakers are yet to establish a unit that can work together. Building chemistry will be their priority in the coming few games. Developing the trust and team work early is what the Lakers will hope for as they continue to figure things out.
