Sebastian Vettel might be going through a rough patch in his first year at Aston Martin. However, every cloud has a silver lining, and for Vettel that is having the most overtakes this season.

Unfortunately, for the 4-times world champion, he isn’t enthusiastic about the most overtake awards. Nevertheless, the German is happy that he is progressing.

Sebastian Vettel isn’t keen on the most overtake awards

The sport of Formula One is always innovating, and this year with its partnership with Crypto, they came up with the most overtakes award. The man leading the list is Vettel, but the Aston Martin driver isn’t thrilled about winning it but enjoys the progress he has had this season.

As quoted for Motorsport.com, Vettel said, “Whether you count that or not, ideally you can’t beat everybody and win all races throughout the year. Of course it’s fun to transition, but it’s not always easy. It feels good when you do it.” (Translated from Turkish via Google)

Can Vettel bounce back in Mexico?

The 34-year-old driver had a lackluster outing in Austin for the United States Grand Prix. The German driver finished a disappointing tenth place finish and earned himself a single point.

Now with a week off from F1, Vettel will be hoping to bounce back at the Mexican Grand Prix. With five races remaining till the end of the season, the German driver is hoping to make the most in his first year with the Silverstone-based team.

Currently sitting twelfth in the driver’s championship with thirty-six points. The German driver would hope to pick some more at the upcoming Mexican GP.
