DJ Naughty Boy has signed up for the upcoming series I’m A Celebrity, according to reports.

The 26-year-old musician, real name Shahid Khan, originally planned to take part in ITV’s hit show last year, but pulled out at the last minute and was replaced by eventual-runner up Jordan North.

Now, bosses have reportedly lined him up again to take part in this year’s shenanigans at Gwrych Castle in North Wales.

A source told The Sun: ‘Shahid is really excited to go into the castle and is up for the challenge. He loves his creature comforts, so he knows it will be a tough gig.

Bosses are thought to believe the songwriter has the right personality for the show, and can’t wait for viewers to see him in action.

The insider added: ‘Producers hope that around the campfire he will spill on all the pop stars he’s worked with.’

If he is confirmed to take part, he could be joining the likes of EastEnders star Adam Woodyatt, Coronation Street’s Lucy Fallon, The Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge and former Love Island contestant Maura Higgins, who have all been linked to the show.

There have also been whispers of Little Mix’s Jade Thirwall and ex BBC Breakfast presenter Louise Minchin featuring.

However, this potential all-star cast may need to be mindful of the bats nesting in the castle.

Sian Williams, Natural Resources Wales head of operations, said: ‘In the months ahead of filming I’m A Celebrity we have been advising ITV in relation to protecting bats, as both the notified feature of the adjacent Llanddulas Limestone and Gwrych Castle Wood Site of Special Scientific Interest and as a European protected species.’

Metro.co.uk has contacted reps for Naughty Boy and ITV for a comment.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! returns to ITV later this year.
