Lakers Injury Report: Bad News on LeBron James Shortly After His Explosive Performance Against Cavs

After missing two games due to injury, LeBron James returned for the game against his former team, the Cleveland Cavaliers. Despite an explosive performance where he led the team in points and assists, they listed LeBron as questionable for their coming game against the Rockets, yet again.

According to Harrison Faigen, LeBron might not play tomorrow’s game due to his right ankle soreness – the same injury that made him miss the games against the San Antonio Spurs and the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Is this a precautionary move? Or are we looking at a long-term injury problem that might prevent LeBron from being 100%?

Latest Lakers injury update: LeBron James and more

For the next game against the Rockets, Talen Horton Tucker, Trevor Ariza, and Kendrick Nunn are definitely not playing. Wayne Ellington and LeBron James are questionable, meaning they would not suit up unless extremely necessary in most cases. Considering that this is a first-half regular-season game, it is unlikely that the Lakers would need them on the floor.

Anthony Davis is another worrying sight for Lakers fans. The top scorer in the paint so far this season, Davis will look to continue his strong start. Consequently, Davis might play limited minutes on the floor. However, he will most probably start the next game.

What does this mean for LeBron and the Lakers?

The Los Angeles Lakers will face Houston Rockets in their next game. While the Rockets are bottom 5 in terms of points scored on from LeBron, he would still look forward to playing against the Rockets. He dropped his famous no-look three on the Rockets last season that coincidentally triggered Harden’s trade.

Nevertheless, LeBron would look to return in the second of their back-to-back games against the Rockets. With 18.7 points per game, LeBron is averaging the highest points per game on the Lakers roster. They will hope to see their primary scorer back on the floor soon.
