Mustafa Ali Justifies the Controversial Statement He Made on WWE SmackDown

Adeem Ali, aka, Mustafa Ali, is a gifted young superstar, and there are no two ways about it. Lately, the former 205 Live performer has had the spotlight on him ever since he snapped on the WWE Universe on last week’s Friday Night SmackDown.

Ali bashed out on the WWE Universe after he failed to win against the former WWE Champion, ‘The Scottish Warrior’, Drew McIntyre on last week’s SmackDown. He cut a promo after the match where he blamed the crowd for rooting against him because of his name, which sparked some controversies.

After his fallout with fans, Ali took to his Twitter and again addressed the same situation and said that everyone has a problem with Ali speaking his mind.

“you have a problem with everything i said last night but have no problem with how everyone reacted. who is the “bad guy” again?” he wrote.

Mustafa Ali has proved his worth as an in-ring wrestler, with some over-the-top high flying moves in 205 Live and on the main roster. However, fans believe the high-flyer lacks what it takes to cut a decent, and that’s what is holding him back as a performer.

Did WWE miss an opportunity with Mustafa Ali?

When Ali debuted on the main roster, amongst the big player, the WWE Universe thought the cruiserweight would go on to headline multiple main events.

However, things didn’t pan out so well for the high-flyer. Vince McMahon soon put Ali in the lower mid-card where he jobbed out for the bigger stars with little to no time on TV.

The WWE creative team tried to turn Ali into master manipulating heel when he was revealed as the head of the heel faction – The Retribution, which was one of the biggest flops of WWE in recent memory.

Now with that in the past, WWE is again struggling to keep the high-flyer relevant for the fans. However, fans themselves believe that he lacks the promo skills to move to be in the mainstream.

With his promo last week, maybe the WWE creative is trying to break the fourth wall and make Ali into a more developed superstar. Just like they garnered Roman Reigns, and the world has witnessed the level of improvements he has made promo cutting ability.

And although Ali blamed the fans after his frustrating loss, it’s not really the case. One must not forget, it was the WWE Universe that rooted for Mustafa Ali to be the next big babyface when he debuted on the blue brand against Daniel Bryan.

For now, it seems like too many losses have fazed Mustafa, and only a win would get things back on track.
