Adam Peaty enjoys spooky Halloween with family after surviving Strictly dance-off

Adam Peaty bounced back from Strictly Come Dancing drama with a brilliantly spooky Halloween with his family.

On Sunday, he found himself in the dreaded dance-off as he and Katya Jones ended up surviving for another week, while Judi Love and Graziano di Prima left the competition.

However, the dad-of-one was in better (and spookier) spirits as he celebrated with his girlfriend Eiri Munro and their son George-Anderson.

The trio posed for a series of scary snaps – all shared by Eirianedd on Instagram – as all wore suitably dark outfits and creepy clown face paint.

She captioned the pictures: ‘A family of killer clowns? IDK. Happy Halloween’.

Although Adam didn’t post the photos on his own account, he did share a snap of him in a hot tub looking as downcast as the grey sky behind him.

He wrote: ‘How it feels to be in the bottom two… Truly humbled to be able to continue on this show and I will come back stronger.

‘Unfortunately this week it meant I was going against @1judilove and @grazianodiprima who are incredible competitors and even more incredible people.

‘Thankyou to everyone who has supported me so far, thankyou to @katyajones for being an amazing choreographer and person and pushing me bound my boundaries! I’m so grateful.’

Adam was saved by the judges, but there doesn’t seem to be any hard feelings as Judi replied to his emotional post and offered some words of encouragement.

She said: ‘Babes you guys are so amazing, keep going and continue to smash it babes xxx (sic)’

Adam responded with three black hearts.

Meanwhile, the 26-year-old Olympian has reportedly been ‘beside himself’ at the trolling his girlfriend has received during his Strictly run and wants to protect her.

Eiri previously said that she had received ‘a lot of hate’ online, with trolls saying ‘horrible’ things to her.

‘Adam is beside himself about the abuse Eiri is receiving. He had no idea the impact being on the show would have on her and feels a responsibility as her partner,’ a source told The Sun.

‘He wants to protect her. Adam is trying to work out if they can somehow make it stop as it’s so hard for him to see Eiri upset.’

Adam’s relationship with the artist had been thrown into the spotlight when fans thought he appeared to lean in for a kiss with Katya at the end of a routine, before stopping himself – but he firmly dismissed speculation over the scenes at the time and insisted there was nothing more to it.

Eiri initially made light of the moment on TikTok, but later explained that the fall-out from it had been ‘a lot’ and had caused her to take a ‘break’ from social media.

Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday at 6.45pm on BBC One.
