Cara Delevingne made sure not to disappoint fans with her 2021 Halloween costume by ensuring it lived up to her usual cheeky standards.

The 29-year-old took to Instagram to reveal her choice of creative get-up for the festive spooky season on Sunday, although her inspiration was rather more NSFW than frightening.

Dressed in a green and yellow wetsuit-come-swimming-costume with short sleeves and high-rise legs, the Paper Towns star posed with her back to the camera and her long brain hair tied up in a ponytail, all the better to reveal the very cheeky focal point of her costume – a black and yellow faux scuba tank emblazoned with the words ‘muff diver’.

The model even held the attached mouthpiece up to her lips for the photo, to hammer the point home.

Cara captioned the photo ‘hardly a costume’ and her fans and friends were cracking up in the comments over her choice of attire.

‘You won Halloween,’ wrote The Marvelous Mrs Maisel star Rachel Brosnahan, while Rihanna exclaimed: ‘Issa whole jersey!!’

Actress Sharon Stone left a string of fire, clapping and cry-laughing emojis, while one user labelled Cara a ‘legend’.

One fan also shared knowledgably: ‘Even better – there’s a place called Muff in the UK & yes there’s a diving club 😂 [sic]’

It’s not the first time Cara has generated headlines for slogans on her clothing, having gathered a fair bit of attention at the 2021 Met Gala in September with her ‘peg the patriarchy’ Dior bulletproof vest.

The star, who was making a statement on women’s rights, urged fans to ‘look it up’ if they didn’t understand the meaning, which refers to a cisgender woman performing anal sex on a cisgender male partner with a strap-on sex toy.
