“He’s Got the Fastest Car Every Weekend… “: Denny Hamlin Loses it on Alex Bowman at Martinsville

Alex Bowman won his fourth race of the season in Martinsville on Sunday. But despite his win, he found himself at the end of some harsh words from Denny Hamlin.

Hamlin, who qualified for the Last 4 alongside Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott, and Martin Treux Jr. called the race winner an “absolute hack.”

“He’s just terrible and he sees one opportunity and he takes it, but obviously he’s got the fastest car every week and runs 10th so he didn’t want to race us there.”

The reason for Hamlin’s outburst at Bowman

With seven laps to go, Denny Hamlin was leading the race. Alex Bowman, who was on the bottom line, attempted a pass on Hamlin.

However, he ended up bumping the back of Hamlin’s car, leading the 40-year-old driver to spin and hit the wall.

This resulted in a caution flag and a restart. Bowman ended up winning the race after holding off Kyle Busch but Hamlin finished 24th.

Even though the driver in car No.11 advanced to the final stage, he couldn’t contain his frustration over Bowman.

Denny Hamlin and Alex Bowman make their cases

The 40-year-old driver insisted he moved as high as he could on the line, giving Bowman all the room, but he still ‘can’t drive.’

Bowman, on the other hand, admitted that he got in too deep and knocked him out of the way. But the race winner justified he also literally had Hamlin take the lead back.

Along with his report for what happened, the Camaro driver also made a cheeky comment on Hamlin.

“He’s been on the other side of that, he’s crashed guys here for a win.”

Think of the ‘big picture’ Denny

After taking the chequered flag, Bowman made some celebratory burnouts on the track. But Denny Hamlin confronted Bowman as he charged his Chevrolet directly onto the Camaro.

Because of this, his radio chief tried shifting Hamlin’s focus on the ‘big picture’ and Hamlin left the race winner alone.

Indeed, Denny Hamlin must focus on the big picture if he is to win his first series in his 16th season and the first step of doing so will definitely be letting go of the bitterness.
