McLaren Boss Refuses Claim of His Mercedes Counterpart Toto Wolff Regarding 2022 F1 Cars

With the 2021 Formula One season almost over, fans are excited for next season, as the new regulations will change the way an F1 car looks. However, McLaren’s Andreas Seidl feels that there could be some changes, while Mercedes’ Toto Wolff thinks it will be difficult to make a different car due to the strict regulations.

The 2022 season isn’t far away, and team bosses are revealing how different the cars will be. Some on the grid feel, they could make some minor changes, while others disagree, taking into consideration how rigid the rules are.

What does Wolff have to say about the new regulations?

While the Mercedes boss doesn’t agree with the McLaren team principal. The Austrian feels the rules are strict, which will make all the cars on the grid look identical.

As quoted by GPFans, Wolff said, “I think you will get very slight variations on a theme. The regulations are so tight now that the variance between the cars will really be quite minimal.”

The differences will no doubt be under the skin of the car, which is kind of a shame, that we are going down a route where the shape is so constrained and it will be the livery that will be the biggest differentiator between the cars,” Wolff concluded.
