Netflix November 2021: Best new films including Princess Switch 3 and Red Notice

Halloween is over for another year which means that the festive period is well and truly on the way, and you can just feel Mariah Carey getting ready to tell us what she really wants for Christmas.

Well, lucky for us, Netflix knows exactly what we have our hearts set on, with an entire stocking full of movies up for grabs in the lead-up to the most magical time of the year.

The streaming platform has got all sorts of festive goodies dropping in November, including the eagerly-anticipated Princess Switch sequel and A Castle for Christmas – which basically does what it says on the tin…

They’ve also thrown in some action blockbusters and a musical, just to tickle all of our tastebuds.

The Harder They Fall – November 3

In this critically acclaimed Western, cowboy Nat Love (Jonathan Majors) leads his loyal gang on the path of violent revenge when he discovers that his enemy Rufus Buck (Idris Elba) – the outlaw who killed his parents in a bloody execution – is being released from prison

Love Hard – November 5

Unlucky in love journalist Natalie (Nina Dobrev) throws caution to the wind when she falls for a guy on a dating app, despite the fact he lives on the other side of the US.

She decides to go all out and surprise him for the holidays, only to discover that she has been catfished.

Father Christmas is Back – November 7

Four feuding sisters are given a crash course in family togetherness when their long-lost father shows up for Christmas, throwing all of their plans up in the air.

Red Notice – November 12

When an Interpol-issued Red Notice – the highest level warrant reserved for the world’s most wanted – goes out, the FBI’s top profiler John Hartley (Dwayne Johnson) is on the case.

His global pursuit lands him in the middle of a daring heist where he has to team up with criminal Nolan Booth (Ryan Reynolds) to catch the world’s most wanted art thief, ‘The Bishop’ (Gal Gadot).

The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star – November 18

Queen Margaret (Vanessa Hudgens) and Princess Stacy (Vanessa Hudgens) enlist the help of Margaret’s audacious look-alike cousin Fiona (Vanessa Hudgens) when they realise that a priceless relic has been stolen.

Fiona then rekindles the sparks of a past Christmas romance when she teams up with a mysterious man from her past to retrieve it – resulting in a very unexpected switch.

tick, tick…BOOM! – November 19

An adaptation of the autobiographical musical, the film follows theatre composer Jon (Andrew Garfield) while he writes what he hopes will be the next great American musical.

Days before he’s due to showcase his work, Jon is feeling the pressure from all sides of his personal life – and faces up to the question everyone must reckon with: What are we meant to do with the time we have?

A Castle For Christmas – November 26

Famed author Sophie Brown (Brooke Shields) journeys out to Scotland in the hopes of purchasing a small castle of her own. Unfortunately, prickly owner Duke Myles (Cary Elwes) has other plans as he is reluctant to sell to a foreigner.

They constantly butt heads while striving for a compromise, but is there romance lurking in the corridors of the dream castle?
