Former World No. 2 discusses Novak Djokovic’s form
Novak Djokovic has ultimately announced his return on the ATP tour. The World No.1 will be competing at the last Masters event of the season in Paris. However, former World No. 2, Alex Corretja thinks Novak Djokovic won’t be able to continue his scintillating form in the upcoming time.
The Spaniard also spoke on Djokovic’s
chances of winning a Grand Slam with the rise of young skillful players on the tour. He
stated,
“Now they also know that he lost to Medvedev, Zverev beat him at the Olympics. At the US Open he [Zverev] caused him a lot of troubles too, [Stefanos] Tsitsipas is going to be there, and some others. I would be very surprised if he’s going to be in the same situation next year at the US Open.”

Corretja applauded players like Daniil Medvedev,
Alexander Zverev and Stefanos Tsitsipas who have created some obstacles for Djokovic lately.
