James Harden Remembers Kobe Bryant After Coca Cola Takes Over BodyArmor for $5.6B
Kobe Bryant spent 20 years of his life on the NBA floor. He finished his career with a 60 point game and as one of the best to ever do it. His impact goes far beyond the basketball world and he is an inspiration to many. However, in the financial world, Kobe had some big investments. One of his most priced investments was with the sports drink, BodyArmor.
Bryant was one of the leading stakeholders for BodyArmor. He invested an initial $5 million dollar into the company. Since then, his valuation has skyrocketed. However, Kobe was no ordinary investor. He would be involved in all the meetings and also was the brand ambassador for the brand. Now, with Coca-Cola buying the brand, his family will receive $400 million dollars from that sale.

Kobe believed in BodyArmor when no one was around. His initial investment came when the total sales of the brand were not even $5 million dollars. He would sit in various meeting and also had the creative control. He is the creator of the first ever advertisement for the sports drink as well. Hence, Kobe was always hands on with the brand.
After his investment and contributions, BodyArmor came on track to cross over a billion dollars n retail by the end of 2020. Kobe was the first one to believe in the brand and always stayed true to its purpose. He emerged as one of the prominent brand ambassadors. Just like on the court, he gave his everything to help the brand grow to where it is today. The only wish would be to see Kobe Bryant himself celebrate the success that he helped achieve.
