JJ Redick Hails Kevin Durant as ‘Best Player in the NBA’ While Praising His Recovery From Injury

Brooklyn Nets registered their fourth win of the season after comfortably beating the Pistons. Kevin Durant was the star once again for the Nets as they blew away Detroit Pistons 117-91 at the Barclays Center. Durant led the scoring charts with 23 points in 27 mins.

Durant is now averaging 27.7 PPG, 8.9 RPG, and 5.3 APG from seven games this season. His greatness and consistency in the past decade is something everyone has praised him for. Durant’s ability to bounce back and his fighting spirit has made him one of the best players in the league.

JJ Redick feels Kevin Durant is the best player in the NBA

Redick recently said that Kevin Durant is the best player in the NBA and he certainly has a fair shout. HoopsHype podcast host, Michael Scotto, recently took to Twitter and shared a quote from his recent podcast with Redick.

“What he’s been able to do post-Achilles has been nothing short of remarkable. From my perspective as a player and my peers’ perspective, he’s the best player in the NBA, and everybody else is sort of competing for that second spot,” Redick said.

The league is currently full of talented players. Some say Stephen Curry is the best player in the league, and even he has bounced back from injuries. While others argue that Durant is a better shooter. It is an endless debate, but one thing that can’t be denied is Kevin Durant’s form since coming back from his Achilles injury. Imagine suffering from a ruptured Achilles tendon, sitting out for a season and then coming back to average 27 PPG.

The Nets are 4-3 this season so far and face Atlanta Hawks next. It hasn’t been a great start given the ‘super team’ hype they got during the off-season. However, it’s still the beginning and with Durant in form, they can finally challenge for their first NBA championship.
