He almost played for Australian Olympics team
Kyrie Andrew Irving surely has US citizenship. However, he took birth in Australia’s Garden City of Melbourne. In fact, his father went down under only to live his basketball dream, but eventually came back to America.
Then, a young Kyrie grew up in New Jersey and still to this day owns a rare dual citizenship. In the London Summer Olympics 2012, the then 20-YO was very close to playing for Team Australia. But that never happened and he later won a Gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Kyrie Irving, even before LeBron James, was the first Cavalier in franchise history to score 57 points. He clocked the numbers on March 12, 2015, against a championship-contending Spurs and helped the Cavs win 128-125. Earlier in the same season, he even scored 55 points against the Blazers.
It took LeBron James 2.5 years to match that record in a Cavalier jersey when he scored his 57 points. By then, Ky had left Cleveland for the C’s. But his numbers still stand atop.
