Reports Suggest Call of Duty 2022 Has Big Plans for the Future of Warzone and an Additional Game More

As Vanguard approaches its release this week, new developments suggest that a new Warzone map might be on its way. Besides this, the new Modern Warfare 2 scheduled for 2022 might see a brand new game mode similar to Battlefield 2042’s Hazard Mode. Call of Duty has plenty of plans to expand, and their ruthless approach is indeed commendable.

COD has been able to amass over 100 million players for Warzone which has proven to be a huge success for the franchise.

Call of Duty: Warzone is getting a new map based in the Pacific

Warzone will get an amazing map update based in the Pacific with the addition of the Caldera map. This map will be available from December 2 and is going to mark the beginning of the Warzone Pacific era. Players who own Vanguard will get 24-hour early access.

Raven Software had confirmed this development way back in September and mentioned original locations and new engine technology for the upcoming era. The new engine is an updated version of the Modern Warfare engine.

Call of Duty is further launching an LTM called Operation: Flashback which will allow players to reminisce the past 18 months of the Verdansk map. Call of Duty has made a special arrangement to mark this occasion and will be rewarding players with an emblem and an animated calling card on winning.

The Verdansk map will be destroyed on November 30 before the official launch of the Caldera map on December 2. With the launch of Season 1 of the Pacific Era, players will gain access to the Vanguard Royale playlist that will feature new content such as biplanes and anti-air trucks.

Modern Warfare 2 might introduce Hazard Zone Style in Call of Duty

Call of Duty has plans to introduce a mode similar to Battlefield 2042’s upcoming Hazard mode. This will be a combination of PvP and PvE quite similar to Battlefield’s Hazard mode.

This unnamed game mode is said to be in development for several years and might feature multiplayer battles against AI and objective oriented missions in MW2 Warzone Map. This new mode might replace the Zombie mode after MW2’s arrival.

Call of Duty’s ruthless approach in redefining player experience is definitely gaining its fruit and players seem to be quite content with the plethora of content arriving their way.
