Shaun Ryder has the Never Mind The Buzzcocks team in hysterics as he tells them about the time he went head-to-head with a real-life baboon.
The singer appears on the Sky comedy panel show alongside Happy Mondays co-star Bez in scenes due to air tonight, and immediately gets stuck into telling presenter Greg Davies and co about his encounter with the animal.
In a clip shared exclusively with Metro.co.uk, Shaun explains that he was under the influence of drugs holidaying in Barbados when it all kicked off.
‘I’m walking along the beach one morning right, about six o’clock and this big, massive baboon just dropped out of the f*cking tree in front of me,’ he says, candidly adding: ‘I’ve been smoking crack all night.’
Shaun recalls that he had no fear, like a dog, and screamed at the baboon ‘I’ll f*cking kill you, you c*nt’ and the animal just ‘f*cked off’.
Unsurprisingly, the Buzzcocks team captains Daisy May Cooper and Noel Fielding are in stitches by this point in the tale.

‘I didn’t expect to go from Justin Bieber to you smoking crack and chasing off a baboon,’ Greg tells Shaun as he shook his head in disbelief.
Well, this definitely outshines Shaun’s story about his alien encounters…
Tonight’s episode of Buzzcocks marks the last in the new series. Viewers will, however, be treated to a Christmas special next month.

It’s been a blinder of a season, hasn’t it? What with Greg leaving the panel speechless as he ‘butchered’ Ms Banks’ fashion range.

Oh, and let’s not forget the moment the host was awkwardly called out for being ‘rich too’ after he expressed shock at Aitch’s expensive watch.
Never Mind the Buzzcocks Tuesday night’s at 9pm on Sky Max and streaming service NOW.
