Jazz Jennings is seen opening up about gaining 100-lbs during her battle with a binge-eating disorder in her upcoming reality show.

Season 7 of the transgender activist’s TLC docuseries airs later this month and a new teaser for the program sees the 21-year-old speak candidly about her health struggles.

The reality star reflected on her decision to take a break before starting school at Harvard University as she explained: ‘Two years ago, I was on my way to one of the greatest institutions in the world, but I was actually struggling severely with mental health issues.

‘I started binge eating, and I gained weight, and more weight, and more weight. And now, almost 100 pounds heavier, here I am today.’

Jazz then explained that ‘having all this extra weight, I can’t do so many things with my body that I used to be able to do.’

The YouTuber has been working to get healthy after clashing with her family over her dietary choices.

‘I do experience fat-shaming from my family,’ she confesses on camera. ‘It makes me feel really humiliated.’

The TV star, who revealed her weight gain this summer, has explained she has an increased appetite due to some of her medications.

Clips from new episodes show Jazz stepping onto a bathroom scale, which clocks her weight at 234-lbs.

The season appears to document Jazz’s efforts to lose weight as she visits a dietician, where she describes a typical breakfast as ‘fast food, maybe a donut or two and then maybe two bagels.’

Indeed, Jazz has always been candid about her struggles with disordered eating in the past, going back to a 2018 YouTube video in which she discussed binge-eating.

Jazz is one of the youngest publicly documented people to be identified as transgender, coming out at just five years old.

She’s since gone on to be an honorary co-founder of the TransKids Purple Rainbow Foundation, as well as star in her own reality television show since 2015.

The trans teen underwent gender confirmation surgery in June 2018, but suffered complications that required a follow-up procedure.

Season 7 of #IAmJazz premieres on TLC on November 30 in the US.
