WATCH: Richard Childress Racing Steal the Show as They Perform Pit Stops Dressed in Halloween Attire

October 31st marks the fall holiday, Halloween, which is extremely popular in the United States. Coincidentally, this year’s Halloween is on the same day as the NASCAR Cup race at Martinsville. Back in 2018, the Richard Childress Racing team decided to celebrate the holiday in an interesting manner.

To be precise, while practicing pit stops, the pit crew came out fully decked in Halloween costumes. Among the famous characters were a luchador, Beetlejuice, a person in lederhosen and a horse. There was also Iron Man and a crewman dressed as a native American, and they were servicing a #31 car.

Meanwhile the #8 car received a different pit crew, dressed as the rock band KISS. There was also a person in a chicken suit, Fred Flintstone, Popeye, Captain America and the Riddler. Finally, there was a pirate and a man wearing a banana costume. All in all, it looked like everyone was having a good time.

What is Richard Childress Racing expecting this Halloween?

In all honesty, there are no real expectations, since neither Tyler Reddick nor Austin Dillon are in championship running. Instead, they are merely running the remaining races to rack up points and place as high in the standings as possible. Dillon starts the Martinsville race in 14th place, while Reddick is a little further behind in 18th place.

While the outfit is not expecting miracles, they will at least be hoping for a good points haul. At the same time, they will try everything in their arsenal to avoid impeding the Top 8 drivers. Especially as they bid for the Final 4 spots in the season finale at Phoenix next weekend. One thing is for sure, this Halloween race is definitely going to be exciting and one for the ages.
