Abba have postponed the release of the trailer for their upcoming hologram concert following the deaths of two fans at a tribute gig in Sweden.
A man in his 80s was attending the ABBA tribute concert at the Konsert & Kongress hall in the Swedish city of Uppsala on Tuesday night when around 30 minutes before the show was due to begin, he fell seven floors into an open foyer on the ground floor.
He died from his injuries.
The man landed on two people, fatally injuring one of them – a man in his 60s.
The third person was left with non-life threatening injuries and was taken to hospital.
Abba had been set to release the trailer for their upcoming show ABBA Voyage at 10am this morning, but it will now be released on Thursday.
A tweet from the official Abba Voyage account read: ‘In the light of the tragic news at the tribute concert in Sweden last night, we have decided to hold off on releasing our concert trailer until tomorrow.
‘Love, ABBA Voyage.’
None of the victims have been named by police, who say it is not clear whether the man jumped or fell.
Police spokesman Magnus Jansson Klarin said officers were working to establish what exactly had happened but added they ‘currently had no reason to think a crime had been committed in relation to the man’s fall’.
The concert hall was initially closed by police so witnesses at the scene could be questioned.
MTLive, the events company that organised the show, wrote on their Facebook page that ‘everyone is in shock’.

‘Unfortunately, we have to announce that a terrible event has happened. What we know is that someone jumped [or] fell high in the arena and hit other people,’ the company said.
The concert came days before Abba release their first album in over 40 years, Voyage.
The record is set for release on November 5 and will contain the two previously released singles, I Still Have Faith In You, Don’t Shut Me Down and Just A Notion.

The album is accompanied by an innovative concert residency of the same name in London, which will feature motion capture digital avatars of Benny, Bjorn, Agnetha and Anni-Frid performing alongside a 10-piece live band.
The avatars – or ABBAtars – have been designed to look like the popstars in their heyday.
