Anthony Davis Provides Update on His Ankle After Scary Fall

Los Angeles Lakers have registered their fifth win of the season after brushing past the Rockets at home. They were trailing Houston in the first half but made an incredible comeback in the 2nd half to win 119-117. Anthony Davis scored 27 points and played an important role alongside James and Westbrook to carve out their fifth win this season.

However, while battling it out for points, Davis fell on the wood, holding his ankle. All Lakers fans in the Staples Center held their breath at that moment. Fortunately, the 28-year-old forward continued to play.

Anthony Davis says his ankle is fine

After dropping 27 points against the Rockets, Anthony Davis came on for the post-game press conference. However, he already knew the first question he was going to be asked, and he said: “It’s fine.”

This comes as a relief for the Lakers and their fans. They have some important fixtures coming up and they do not want their regular starters to miss out on any game at this stage. While they may decide to rest their star players once the team picks up form, they need everyone to be fit and healthy right now.

The Lakers trio of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook starred in the team’s emphatic victory over Houston Rockets. LeBron led the scoring charts with 30 points and even bagged 10 assists. AD and Westbrook dropped 27 each as the Lakers won their third consecutive game at home.

With a 5-3 record in hand, the Lakers will now face Oklahoma City Thunder later this week. They had to grind out a win even against a struggling Rockets side, so a star-studded Thunder with a 1-6 record have what they need to potentially shock the Lakers.
