BREAKING: Aaron Rodgers Set To Miss the All Important Clash Against Kansas City Chiefs

The Packers have been superb this season. Be it racking up wins or losing players to injuries, they have been consistent in both. Aaron Rodgers was amongst the few to have started in all the games for Packers till now, but it looks like it won’t be the same.

When it rains, it pours. A few minutes ago, news has just broken in that the Packers quarterback tested positive for COVID-19. He becomes the fourth player from the Packers to test positive. To make matters worse, the Green Bay Packers’ next fixture is against a spirited Kansas City Chiefs.

Aaron Rodgers tests positive for COVID-19

Moments earlier, NFL Insider and reliable journalist Tom Pelissero broke the news that Aaron Rodgers has tested positive for COVID-19. This means that the Green Bay quarterback won’t be able to lead his team against the upcoming decisive clash against Patrick MahomesKansas City Chiefs.

Unfortunately for the Packers, this is not the first time that their player will be out with COVID. Before Rodgers, they already lost Joe Barry, Davante Adams, and Kurt Benkert. Luckily, they have a decent replacement for Rodgers. The quarterback will be replaced by 2019 first-round pick Jordan Love, who will start for the first time in his career.

Packers Coach Matt LaFleur reacts to his team’s injury woes this season

For a side ravaged with injuries, maintaining continuity is a struggle, but they have done it beautifully, so far. In the first eight games, they have won seven and only lost 1 and a lot of credit for this goes to their team management. Matt LaFleur is a seasoned campaigner, but even he can’t help but feel bad for his team’s injury crisis this season.

“It’s the part of the game that sucks, quite frankly,” Packers coach Matt LaFleur said Friday. “I feel awful for both those guys. They put a lot into this thing. They’re tough guys to replace. I know Kylin wasn’t as involved with our offense up to this point, but certainly what he’s done on special teams is going to be tough to replace,” he explained.

La Fleur then explained how injuries stall the growth of players. “And then, just watching a guy like Bobby, like I mentioned last night, the growth and development of him and what he means to this football team and just knowing the number of hours and everything he puts into this game, it’s sickening for me as a coach,” he finished.

Wishing a speedy recovery to the Packers squad members out with injuries!
