Richard Madeley has all but confirmed his I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! stint, and we cannot wait to tune in.
The 65-year-old has been linked to the ITV line-up over the last few weeks, but previously refused to be drawn on speculation.
However, appearing on today’s episode of Good Morning Britain, the presenter – who has been tipped to officially replace Piers Morgan – announced that he will be away from the panel for the next few months, returning after Christmas.
Which seems to leave a chunk of free time for Richard to pop over to Wales…
After spending hours teasing his ‘long journey ahead’ throughout the show, he ended the episode by telling co-star Susanna Reid: ‘Now then, I’ve got a place to go and people to see, and things to eat. Interesting things to eat.
‘I’ll be back very soon after Christmas, so this is my last show for a while.’

Picking up his subtle clues, Susanna questioned: ‘How do we say goodbye in Welsh?’
‘I was going to ask you that,’ he replied as she added: ‘I don’t know but I’m sure you’ll find out in the next couple weeks. Good Morning Britain back tomorrow from 6am.’
I’m A Celeb is kicking off on November 21, with a stellar line-up thought to be taking part.
Hosts Ant and Dec will be returning to Gwrych Castle, in Wales, very soon, armed with stars.
Richard is thought to have agreed a contract worth a whopping £200,000 for an appearance on the series.

‘Richard’s been asked year after year but the timing has never been right,’ an insider told the Sun. ‘But now, finally, he’s said “Yes”.
‘He’s a favourite with ITV execs. He’s brilliant off and on screen so it seemed as good a time as any to throw caution to the wind and eat animal bits.
‘He’s a fantastic coup and a nailed-on fan favourite. Once you wind him up, off he goes — he will make for castle gold.’
Bring it on!
Good Morning Britain continues on weekdays at 6am on ITV.
