Pussycat Dolls star Kimberly Wyatt has called on her co-star Nicole Scherzinger and founder of the band Robin Antin to end the ‘drama and fighting’ amid their lawsuit.

Antin filed a lawsuit against the Don’t Cha singer claiming she had threatened to walk away from a reunion tour unless she was given ‘a majority share and complete creative control in relaunching the group’, claims Scherzinger said were ‘ludicrous’.

The band, which split in 2010, has been planning a reunion tour, which has had to be pushed back various times due to Covid-19.

However, Wyatt admitted the feud between Scherzinger and Antin could be another bump in the road.

‘There’s some fighting going on between the creator Robin and Nicole,’ the 39-year-old explained on Loose Women.

‘And so I have no idea what’s going to happen but I’m trying to stay optimistic. I feel like we’ve built such an epic moment of this comeback performance and this comeback tour and all the fans are so excited around the world right along with us.

‘I’m just gonna stay optimistic and hope that it does happen, I think that the fighting and the drama needs to end and we need to focus on getting back out there.’

In her lawsuit, Antin claimed Scherzinger had agreed to the reunion tour before the Covid-19 pandemic began but is now threatening to walk away from it unless her requests are met.

The 43-year-old singer is accused of ‘now refusing to participate in the tour,’ according to the complaint, after she ‘demanded to renegotiate the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding’.

However, Scherzinger hit back at the accusations with her lawyer releasing a statement to People about the bitter legal dispute.

Attorney Howard King branded the lawsuit ‘ludicrous and false’, adding that Antin’s claims are a ‘desperate attempt to divert blame for her own failures by trying to impose obligations on Nicole that simply do not exist’.

In the complaint, Antin, 60, also claimed that Scherzinger now wants to be a 75% owner with final decision-making authority. Live Nation is now apparently demanding $600,000 (£434,000) that it put up for the tour, as the dates have not been confirmed yet.

King has argued that the onus isn’t on Scherzinger to pay the money back.

‘Robin will fail in her efforts to trade on Nicole’s hard-earned success to pull herself out of a deep financial hole she has created by her own poor business and professional decisions,’ King said.

‘Nicole has invested her own funds in excess of $150,000 (£109k) in support of a potential PCD reunion that has now been made impossible by Robin’s actions (including the public release of the group members’ confidential financial information).’

The lawyer added: ‘Nicole loves and respects the PCD fans and hopes to one day be back on stage performing the group’s amazing hits for them. Sadly, this will not happen under these circumstances.’

Antin was the founder of the Pussycat Dolls and helped bring the singing and dance troupe to mainstream success after a tip from Jimmy Iovine.

The band consisted of Nicole, Kimberly, Ashley Roberts, Carmit Bachar, and Jessica Sutta.

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12:30pm on ITV.
