‘Raise the Roof’: Twitter Reacts to LeBron James Taking Over in the 4th Quarter During Win vs Rockets

The Los Angeles Lakers and the Houston Rockets met once again after the Lakers grabbed a comfortable win from their rivals in their previous game. Until now, the Lakers stood at a 4-3 record in the Western Conference, whereas the Rockets wanted to put an end to the four-game losing streak. Both the teams really need this win to improve their record. Unfortunately for the Rockets, it was thanks to LeBron James that the it was the Lakers who were able to bag this vital victory. .

The Rockets were out for revenge after falling to the Los Angeles Lakers 95-85 in the last game. In the last game during the third quarter, the Lakers were leading 75-54, which was a tad bit too much for Hoston to cover up. Even their lead scorers, Eric Gordon and Christian Wood could only bag 17 points and 13 points, respectively.

On the other hand, the Lakers are definitely the more dominant team amongst the two. In their last game, they were better than the Houston Rockets in every aspect. However, their biggest enemy in any matchup is the injury issues. Dwight Howard, Wayne Ellington, Talen Horton-Tucker, Kendrick Nunn, and Trevor Ariza, are all sitting out of their second face off against the Rockets.

The Rockets were keeping the purple and gold on their toes in this game until after halftime. The Rockets were leading by 6 points when the second quarter came to an end. They even ended up outscoring the Lakers in the first quarter 35-32, which is unlike their last encounter. And as usual, the Lakers found themselves being rescued by none other than, LeBron James.

LeBron James helps Lakers rally back

As usual, LeBron James picked up the slack for the Lakers and the second half looked completely different for the Lakers. In the first two quarters, the Lakers ended up trailing the Houston Rockets. However, the third quarter was the one for Bron to teach other fellow young bloods why he is the GOAT.

He completely played bully ball and ended up scoring 30 points with 10 assists. It was his offensive prowess that helped the purple and gold grab a lead and eventually the Rockets were once again, stuck on the losing end with a 119-117 score. Even fans couldn’t get enough of the action and there was love and support flooding for LBJ on social media for his incredible performance. But of course, some showed their concern about how the Lakers had to fight tooth and nail to win against a team like the Rockets.

Losing this match would have raised a lot of concerns in the minds of fans. And would have also given critics more reasons to doubt the super team that they have built. Given, the Lakers struggled plenty in the preseason and once the season began. But it seems like all they needed was some more time to adjust and here they are now with a 5-3 record.

Next up, they are playing Oklahoma City Thunder again, a team that just brutally defeated them 123-115. To be fair, LeBron did not play that game and if he does, it will be their best shot at redemption. The only question is, will they be able to utilize it?
