Talen Horton-Tucker Injury Update: Massive News on Lakers Star Before Crucial Rockets Game

The Los Angeles Lakers will face the Houston Rockets on Tuesday EST. Following their 125-121 win against the San Antonio Spurs, the Lakers have another opportunity for a three-peat. However, there is another important update about the team’s guard Talen Horton-Tucker.

By the looks of it, things might start looking up for the Lakers roster pretty soon. The team has held on their own without LeBron James and Anthony Davis and is looking to conquer their 18th NBA championship.

Frank Vogel said Talen Horton-Tucker had his stitches removed and the Lakers are hopeful he can start shooting tomorrow.

Having said that, every single player on the team’s roster holds a crucial spot on the team’s roster. With the 20-year-old back on the court, the Lakers are taking a step closer to their goal.

Will the Lakers have young NBA star Talen Horton-Tucker back soon?

According to recent reports, head coach Frank Vogel revealed that he has stitches removed. He starts with shooting, which is really promising given his thumb injury news for him and the organization.

“Yeah he got his stitches out,” Vogel said. “(We) hope to have him start doing shooting tomorrow, but he’s still on track with the timetable”.

Despite all the new additions to the team, injuries were a worry for the Lakers. However, this would hold true for the more veteran members on the team. Horton-Tucker’s injury only proves the game is unpredictable, and one needs to protect and play at the same time.

Unfortunately, the team will continue to miss some of their key players. Horton-Tucker, on the other end, is back to practice without a brace on his left thumb – which was surgically corrected. His surgery was scheduled for October 13. Of course, he will be re-evaluated after four weeks, which is November 10 EST.

Other injured Lakers players

Roughly around two weeks ago, Kendrick Nunn underwent an MRI, which revealed a bone bruise on his sore knee. He will be re-evaluated in two to three weeks. Wayne Ellington, out because of his hamstring injury, is actually questionable against the Rockets. He was practicing with the G League earlier this week.

“Wayne is going to practice with the G League today,” Vogel said. “We have to assign him by the rules or whatever, but it’s just to go down to practice here, just to get some live work”. Their practice had the team watch film and read the script. As Ellington has been away, him getting action was important.
