‘Was My Job’: LeBron James Comments on His Dominant Fourth Quarter Performance vs Rockets
For a while there, it seemed like victory was slipping away from the hands of the Los Angeles Lakers. They struggled for most of the game on the defensive end but thanks to LeBron James’ fourth quarter heroic performance, along with Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook making vital contributions on the offense, they were able to make a comeback and snatch their 119-117 victory back from the Houston Rockets. In fact, Bron seems to think that he had no option but to turn things around in the last quarter.
LeBron James understood his responsibility
Before entering this matchup, it seemed like a no-brainer that the Los Angeles Lakers would be the ones who would walk away with the victory. However, once the game started, the Houston Rockets seemed to be firing back. This was odd, considering in their previous game, the Lakers had an easy win against them.
The Rockets were leading almost throughout the first two quarters, making purple and gold fans very nervous. However, the Lakers finally started to catch up to them in the third but it was the fourth quarter that turned out to be the game-changer. Out of 30 of Bron’s total points, 14 of them came in the last quarter. This was a much-needed boost that the team needed to secure this win.
In the post-game interview, Lebron even talked about the tough situation that they were in and how he helped them come out of it. “It was my job in the fourth quarter to bring us home and make plays,” he stated.

The Lakers have gathered some momentum
Both Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook also gave LeBron the assistance that he needed. Both of them contributed 27 points each, along with Carmelo Anthony who also added 15 points.

If it wasn’t for their lousy defense, it never would have come to this. The Lakers would have had another impressive and easy win, as they did on Halloween. This way or that way, they did get the victory. And it seems like the Lakers have found their momentum and will use it against OKC while they try to sought revenge for the last time they defeated them.
