Coleen Rooney is ‘set to sign a £1million deal for bombshell Wagatha Christie TV show about row with Rebekah Vardy’

COLEEN Rooney will sign a £1million deal to make an explosive film about her ‘Wagatha Christie’ row with Rebekah Vardy, it’s reported.

The Wags are locked in a court battle after Coleen, 35, alleged Rebekah leaked stories from her private Instagram account to the press.

Rebekah, 39, vehemently denies the claims – and is suing her former friend for libel.

However, it’s now reported that Coleen wants to “let the public make their own minds up” – and will present her evidence in a new documentary, the Mirror reports.

Filming could begin in the New Year – months before the libel trial in the High Court gets under way in the summer.

Sources close to Coleen say she’ll be “front and centre” of the doc, which will be made by Lorton Entertainment and streamed on Netflix or Amazon.

The company is behind husband Wayne’s documentary Rooney.

They also made acclaimed Oasis film Supersonic, and After the Screaming Stops, which looked at the careers of Bros stars Matt and Luke Goss.

Coleen and Rebekah’s battle began in October 2019, when Coleen posted her infamous claim of a social media leaker.

Her friend told the publication: “Coleen has remained quiet ever since that famous online post. But this could all change in what could be the TV event of the year.

EXPLOSIVE DOC

“Viewers would see all the evidence that Coleen has forensically gathered via her online sleuthing and see why she is convinced that Rebekah leaked the stories about her and others.

“She is minded to get it all out into the pubic domain and let people make their own minds up. Talks are very well advanced.”

Coleen usually stays out of the limelight with her four children with Wayne, Kai, Klay, Kit and Cass.

But the friend said: “Coleen is thinking long and hard about her next steps and the time could be right to stick her head above the parapet.

“She feels she has a very strong case and wants to share it with the world.”

The loser of the libel case could end up shelling out millions.

Coleen’s lawyers say her legal bill will be £537,000, while Rebekah’s is estimated to cost £838,000.

And news of the documentary will “undoubtedly” be seen as a “hostile act” by Rebekah’s camp, the friend said.

“There is no doubt that Coleen is upping the stakes and then some, and it will be interesting to see how Rebekah reacts,” they said.

‘SHE’S CONVINCED IT’S REBEKAH’

“But Coleen is on a mission and is passionate about what she believes in.”

Both women have been urged to come to a resolution outside of court to avoid a full libel trial.

However, both are currently refusing to back down, with a showdown set to grip the UK next summer.

Coleen was interviewed for Wayne’s new documentary, which will be shown on Amazon Prime.

In a trailer, she revealed she’s “forgiven” Wayne for his booze and sex shame antics but admits: “It wasn’t acceptable”.

The couple’s 13-year marriage has been rocked by a string of drunken scandals that have landed him in the dog house.

Most recently, the ex-Manchester United legend was pictured in a hotel with Snapchat models after a night out in July.

Coleen said: “I knew groups Wayne was hanging around. Together with alcohol… [it was] not good.

“I forgive him but it wasn’t acceptable.”

Wayne, 35, and Coleen met when she was just 12 years old in the Liverpool suburb of Croxteth.

They started a relationship when they turned 16 after leaving school as Wayne’s stunning football career started to take off.
