DANNY Dyer has admitted he thinks it’s ‘cruel’ having sex with one person forever – despite his many years with wife Jo.

The 44-year-old EastEnders actor tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart Joanne Mas in 2016.

The cheeky star said it was ‘cruel’ to only ever have sex with one person ‘for the rest of your life’

An item since they were at school, the pair have three children together – Dani, 25, Sunnie, 14, and eight-year-old Arty.

But while chatting to his eldest child – Love Island’s Dani – Danny confessed that even though he thought their long-term relationship was “a beautiful thing”, he felt it was “cruel” sleeping with the same person for the rest of your life.

He said on their Sorted With the Dyers podcast: “I’ve been with the same bird since I was 13 years of age.”

“I really envy it,” commented Dani.

Danny continued: “It is rare and it is a beautiful thing, but it does come with its hiccups.

“I was with someone from the age of 13 and I was never single.

“I became a father at 18 and then of course I wanted to get all that madness out of my system. I resented it in a way. Not you [Dani], because I grew to love you.

“But in general, it’s a bit like, ‘Oh f***.’”

He explained: “Because the idea of being with the same person and having sex with one person for the rest of your life is a bit cruel isn’t it?

“I just think about the idea of free love. If you were around in the 60s.”

As he reflected on his own growth over the years, Danny told his daughter: “I think older men grow up slightly. You’ve got to hit 40 when they really think, ‘What the f*** have I been doing for 20 years?’

“The majority of men, it takes a long time for us to get our s**t together. It was only really recently. I was a crank for many, many years.

“I’m always going to have that crankiness, but I suppose I can contain it now.”

Danny, who plays Mick Carter in the BBC soap, reflected: “I suppose you change, you have different wants and needs.

“You want to go out and be crazy and do mad things and f*** the world and f*** the system, and then you stop that. And that comes with becoming a grandfather.

“And the idea of looking around me and being very grateful for everything around me. That takes a while for a man.”

Dani welcomed her son Santiago in January while in a relationship with Sammy Kimmence.

But she’s now raising Santi as a single mum after dumping Sammy, who was recently jailed for 42 months for scamming pensioners out of £34,000.

The mum-of-one is currently dating West Ham footballer Jarrod Bowen, 24.
