John Lewis Christmas advert 2021 – Watch heart-warming ad featuring boy who helps ALIEN experience her very first Xmas

JOHN Lewis’ 2021 Xmas advert has literally landed – featuring an adorable story of an alien experiencing his magical first ever Christmas.

New advert The Unexpected Guest follows the story of a teenage boy called Nathan who meets an alien named Skye after she crash lands her ship on earth – and they become best friends.

But true to form, the retailer’s Christmas ads are never short of tear-jerking moments – with an emotional ending to this year’s blockbuster ad.

John Lewis says it wanted to spread joy, as so many of us couldn’t celebrate Christmas in the traditional way last year or share it with loved ones as we would have liked.

It also wanted the two-minute campaign – featuring Lola Young’s cover of Together in Electric Dreams – to remind viewers of the magic of experiencing Christmas for the first time.
