Yuki Tsunoda now hailed as ‘El Suñoda’ after His Mexican GP-Inspired Antics

Yuki Tsunoda is making himself a growing personality on the grid. Not only for his recent breakthrough in defense, but also his funny personality outside the car. Presently having arrived in Mexico, Tsunoda let himself have some good Mexican fun. After stuffing himself with tacos, the driver entertained himself with a good ol’ coffee stache.

Yuki posted a picture of himself on his Instagram stories with a cup of coffee. However, a mere cup of coffee wouldn’t be enough for Reddit to go wild. With a foamy bar handle mustache, Tsunoda completed the look by giving himself a sombrero.

A piece of cake for F1 Reddit, the jokes soon rolled in. “El Suñoda,” Señor Yuki” and “Yuki Pistoleta,” the names rolled in; some with levels to it: “We race as Juan.”

While some were creative with Mexican names, others pointed out how much the driver loves his food. “Yuki been like: F1, does that stands for Foodmula 1?” Regardless, F1 fans never disappoint with their memes.

Yuki Tsunoda – the perfect fit for AlphaTauri

Tsunoda’s rookie season had started off strong but soon lost its sparkle. However, now Tsunoda looks to wrap up his first season showcasing his spectacular driving skills; the skills that moved Helmut Marko to bringing the driver to AlphaTauri.

Both the driver and the Red Bull boss acknowledge that Tsunoda and the team were a perfect match. Yuki said, “from the beginning, AlphaTauri has been a team that suits me. They have been really friendly since the first test in Imola. They are always chatty, and for me, that works well. I love all the guys in our team. That’s why it feels more of a shame when I make a mistake… I just need to get them the results they deserve.”

Marko, who had a lot of trust in the 21-year-old, agreed. “Everybody likes him because he’s funny, which is nice, but what you need is consistent speed. …We believe he has enormous potential. From Austria [race nine] he was already faster than [Daniil] Kvyat so the decision to promote him was right. He’s so young. He has a lot to learn.”

As Yuki Tsunoda gets in those essential tacos, he will soon be ready for the Mexican GP. Will Tsunoda’s form over the last few races continue in the Mexican circuit?
