Strictly Come Dancing’s John Whaite and Johannes Radebe left the judges and viewers alike emotional after their romantic rumba routine.

The first all-male couple in Strictly’s history performed a stunning dance to Sting’s Shape Of My Heart and it was enough to bring a tear to rumba queen Shirley Ballas’s eye.

Before giving them a 10 as her score, Shirley told the couple: ‘Actually I;m quite moved, I feel really quite emotional after watching that.’

She also praised the precision of the footwork and the stripping down of the routine, dubbing it ‘class personified’.

Even Craig Revel-Horwood wanted to steal the beautiful routine for his wedding to Jonathan Myring, joking: ‘I was just thinking throughout that dance that I might steal it and teach Jonathan, my fiancé, as our wedding dance!

‘I thought it was absolutely gorgeous, I really, really did. You could have a straighter leg for the hip action but the hip action was actually there.’

Anton Du Beke meanwhile called it a ‘beautifully mature performance’.

John had previously said on It Takes Two: ‘It’s intimate. Day one when we did this on Monday, I’m not ashamed to admit this, when we danced it I actually cried.

‘Because we have done all these masculine things, these very powerful things, which have been great, but to finally show a sensitive emotional site, it’s beautiful.’

The beauty of the dance definitely translated on-screen as viewers were loving their performance just as much as the judges.
