Elvis Rodriguez Hammers Juan Pablo Romero, Back in the Winning Column
The welterweight collision between Elvis Rodriguez and Juan Pablo Romero stayed up to the buzz created around it. Both the fighters brought in their best versions inside the squared circle to keep each other on their toes. However, it was Rodriguez’s night in the end who came right on top with a KO win in this epic encounter.
The southpaw Rodriguez began the fight well with his long and strong jabs. He even attacked the Mexican fighter’s body with some of his left hooks. On the other hand, Romero counter-attacked well by going ahead and landing his right hand.

The duo exchanged an extensive amount of punches in round 2 as they both got success landing their power-packed hooks. However, Rodriguez had an edge in this scuffle as he connected some stupendous shots. ‘The Dominican Kid’ also employed his footwork and his defense was on the play, too.
Rodriguez cut the distance efficiently, and he struck his adversary with some notable jabs and left hooks.
Romero, too, didn’t hold himself from attacking Rodriguez’s body. But the latter’s movements were too quick for him to decode. Rodriguez capitalized on his speed in the later rounds and he kept the same punching pace throughout. In round 4, Rodriguez hurt Romero with quick uppercuts. But the Mexican fighter responded with a three-punch combination.
‘The Dominican Kid’ even dropped Romero, but the undefeated fighter continued the fight somehow.

Rodriguez broke Romero’s rhythm, and he fairly dictated the pace of the fight.

However, the 25-year-old seemed unmoved by Romero’s assault, and after much exchange, Rodrigues finally ended the fight in round 5 with a vicious power shot.
With that, Rodriguez improved his track record to 12 wins, and he fairly came back after a loss in his last fight.
The young gun was put into deep waters in this fight, but he fought like a lion heart to make the most out of this outing.
