“I Beat The Rock” – Bruce Buffer Says He Has Gone Past Dwayne Johnson In One Thing

Anyone who follows combat sports knows who Bruce Buffer is. One of the most popular voices in the world, Buffer, has been with the UFC for over 25 years. He is their main announcer and is very popular among the fans.

Apart from being the most recognizable voice in combat sports, Buffer also has other ventures. He is the agent/manager of his brother, Michael Buffer.

Michael is also one of the most famous announcers, known for his catchphrase ‘Let’s get ready to rumble.’ Not only that, he has made investments in an energy drink and a bourbon whisky.

In a recent interview, Buffer was asked jokingly if he was competing with ‘The Rock.’ Dwayne Johnson also has an energy drink brand called Zoa Energy, and a tequila called Teremana Tequila Blanco.

Buffer responded, “I love The Rock. Dwayne’s a great guy. Lay the SmackDown. The Rock comes out with an energy drink. I’ll come out with an energy drink. Rock comes out with tequila. I’ll come out with a bourbon.”

“But now, I beat The Rock. I’m coming out with something that is going to be really incredible. I’m coming out with a whole line of toiletry products and cologne. The It’s Time cologne. It’s incredible, it’s an incredible company I deal with… This will come out next year. It’s going to be distributed all over the world along with 50 different toiletry products,” he added.

Bruce Buffer’s other businesses

While being famous for his voice and being the announcer for the UFC, Buffer has investments in other businesses as well. As aforementioned, he is the agent/manager of his half-brother, Michael Buffer. Bruce met Michael in 1989, and around four years later after they met, Bruce asked to become his brother’s manager.

In an interview, he said, “I went to him and I realized, he hasn’t trademarked his phrase properly, he hasn’t made a t-shirt or a hat. I’m the businessman. He’s the fantastic performer that he is, so suddenly I started getting about this… I said Michael, listen. I want to make you richer and more famous than you ever dreamed. Hopefully myself in the process.”

After this, Bruce sold all his businesses and became his full-time manager. Other than this, he has invested in a bourbon whisky called Puncher’s Chance. Furthermore, he has the It’s Time cologne.
