Over the last few years, Spotify has released a special treat for listeners in the form of its annual ‘Wrapped’ round up.

Spotify Wrapped – one of the many great features from the streaming giants – gives a retrospective round-up for each user on their listening habits from the last year.

The annual snapshot usually very quickly trends on social media, with each person sharing their individual Spotify Wrapped insights.

Just when is the 2021 Spotify Wrapped landing?

When does Spotify Wrapped 2021 come out?

As it stands, there’s no confimed release date for Spotify Wrapped 2021.

However it has arrived around the start of December over the past couple of years – dropping on to the streaming platform on December 2 in 2020, while it landed on the 5th of the month in 2019.

Based on those dates it seems likely that Spotify Wrapped 2021 will debut around the first week of December this year – although there has been no official announcement about whether this will be the case.

Wrapped will show you your most-streamed songs, artists, and genres of the past year.

It will also tell you the most-streamed artists and tunes globally.

Although Spotify Wrapped is available to all of its users – including those who use the free service – those with Spotify Premium will be treated to additional, more personalized, information with their Wrapped.

In previous years this has included details of the number of artists they discovered in the year – as well as their most streamed.

Who was the most popular artist on Spotify in 2020?

The most-streamed artist across the world in 2020 was Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny, followed by Drake, J Balvin, Juice WRLD and The Weeknd.

In the UK the streaming list was topped by Drake, with Juice WRLD in second place, followed by Eminem, Ed Sheeran and The Weeknd – whose song Blinding Lights was also the most streamed track of the year both in the UK and worldwide.

2020 was also a good year on Spotify for Lewis Capaldi, who had the most-streamed album of the year with Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent.
