TOWIE fans are convinced Chloe Sims and Pete Wicks are still friends with benefits after she told him she loved him.

The reality TV stars, who were in an on-off relationship, set tongues wagging with their flirting on last night’s TOWIE.

Chloe, 40 got fans talking when she gushed about how much Pete meant to her.

As they gathered for a night out with their pal Diags, they had a mutual appreciation moment when they told each other how they really felt.

Towie veteran said to Pete: “I love you.”

She then continued to praise him for accepting her as she is.

Pete returned the sentiment and told her how important she was to him too.

This did not go unnoticed by fans who commented too, with one Tweeting: “Chloe and Pete definitely friends with benefits.”

Another simply wrote: “Chloe and Pete…” with a love heart emoji.

They then continued their flirting as they left the club and went to grab a kebab afterwards.

Pete showed his true feelings for Chloe with his grand gesture he made for her for her 40th birthday.

In a teaser for next week’s show Chloe was seen in tears as Pete revealed he was getting a tattoo for her to commemorate her milestone birthday.

Chloe and Pete’s relationship status has been keeping fans on their toes ever since it was revealed last year that they’d secretly been sleeping together for two years.

Their on/ off romance met an upsetting end when Chloe was left hurt Pete had shared details of their antics.

The former best pals didn’t speak for months after their fallout, but reunited over the summer.

They’ve since set tongues wagging that they are back together as they are regularly seen cosying up – including a very sweet display at the National Television Awards.

However, they have insisted that they are just friends – though Chloe said she has “no regrets” about what happened between them in the past.
