Andy Murray Regards Novak Djokovic Better Than Him in This Skill

The man of the season this year in tennis has been none other than Novak Djokovic. The manner in which the Serbian ace has gone about things is simply breathtaking. Over the years, he has sharpened his skills to such perfection that it has become difficult for opponents to find a crack in his armour.

Recently, Andy Murray, who’s famous for his backhand, was asked who possesses a superior backhand on the tour. The Scot was quick to take Novak Djokovic’s name. He felt that the consistency and the sheer topspin the Serb manages to bring upon his execution is what puts him higher than anyone.

When asked about Novak’s backhand, Murray had only positive things to say and he stated, “Probably Djokovic. He has an amazing backhand. He has got a little bit more spin on his backhand than mine which gives a little bit more safety.”

Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic are the best in business

Both Murray and Djokovic hit the double-handed backhand. Over the years, they have been involved in a number of matches in which they engage in long, gruesome rallies. They both can strike the ball from every corner of the court and can angle it with great efficiency.

Coming to the 2021 season, Andy has registered some impressive results lately. In certain matches, although he ended up on the losing side, his quality of tennis was a real cause for optimism. He is currently competing in the Stockholm Open 2021 and will play his first match against Viktor Durasovic.

On the other hand, Novak won the Paris Masters on Sunday. He bounced back impressively after losing in the final of the US Open. He will be competing in Turin for the ATP Finals. We wish him the very best for the upcoming matches.
