WATCH: Steph Curry Battles Through Shoulder Injury Scare and Leaves Fans Gasped
The Atlanta Hawks, dangling quite low in the EC table, are facing a tough game against the top team in the West. The Golden State Warriors are the team closest to be called title contenders this season with their incredible 8-1 record and a four-game winning streak that they will try to extend against the Hawks. However, their matchup began with an injury scare for Steph Curry.
The Warriors were just behind by one point right into the first quarter when an incident took place. Steph was seen in some pain as he clutched his hand right and walked away. Meanwhile, fans couldn’t help but express their paranoia when it happened, and their happiness when he came back better than before.

Fans could not keep calm as Steph Curry walked off the court
The Atlanta Hawks were recently defeated at the hands of the Phoenix Suns by a 121-117 score. On the other hand, the Warriors secured a blowout 120-107 win against the Houston Rockets on November 7th. This obviously meant that apart from having the star power, the GSW also has momentum on their side.
But underestimating the Hawks isn’t wise either. They may have lost to the Suns but they had a twelve-point lead which they blew. And one must not forget Trae Young, who put up a 31-point performance paired with 13 assists. Right behind him was John Collins with 26 points and 10 rebounds. This goes to show that their offensive power can give the Warriors a run for their money.
However, the Dubs haven’t gotten this far without dominating games themselves. Apart from Steph Curry and Draymond Green, the Warriors have seen themselves relying on a third player for their victories, and that’s easily Jordan Poole.
As fans hoped for the same output in this game, Steph grabbing his hand as soon as the first quarter began had everyone on the edge of the seats. Even Twitter went a little crazy.

The last thing the NBA fans want is yet another star going out because of an unfortunate injury.

The Atlanta Hawks won’t give it away so easily to the Warriors
Thankfully, the Warriors did not have to worry too long about Curry. He eventually returned to play with full force, leading the way so far against the Hawks. But the Hawks are keeping the competition neck to neck, as Trae and Collins continue to work together for the scoring production.
The first quarter ended with the Hawks outscoring the Golden State Warriors by only two points. But they were able to take a big lead as soon as the second quarter started, which really messed with Dubs fans, who started to believe that the Hawks could put a halt to all their straight victories so far.

With the game already at halftime, the Warriors have done their best to keep the score close. They are behind the Hawks by four points, and it’s still not too late to catch up.
