Dakota Johnson has some rather, er, unique ideas for Christmas presents for your relatives.

No, not socks, or M&S vouchers… the Fifty Shades of Grey actress thinks that your uncle would be very appreciative of an anal plug this Christmas.

The 32-year-old joined sexual wellness company Maude a year ago as co-creative director and investor, and this festive season, she is promoting the company’s newest toy – a butt plug called ‘Cone’.

The ‘starter size’ toy, which is made from ‘soft-touch silicone – and has a tapered shape and flared base, comes in charcoal and a forest green, with the latter kind of resembling a Christmas tree.

Perhaps this was a key design element, as Dakota reckons everybody in the family will want this as a stocking filler.

Speaking to InStyle, the actress said: ‘Oh, this is going in everybody’s stocking. Are you kidding? It’s the perfect stocking stuffer. You think your uncle hasn’t wanted a butt plug his entire life? You’re lying.

‘I think it’s a thing a lot of people don’t want to buy for themselves. First of all, namely, because they’re called “butt plugs,” and everyone’s going to be like, Oh God, I’m not going to buy that. I don’t want that on my credit card statement.

‘But people are more curious than you want to believe they are, and people are more sexual than they want to believe they are. I think everyone should have a cone for Christmas.’

Makes a change from a chocolate orange in your stocking, we’ll give her that.

The Cone is being sold at $30 (£22), so your risky Secret Santa won’t break the bank.

Dakota, who is dating Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, joined Maude in November 2020 as she believes ‘sexual wellness is a fundamental human right’.

The Lost Daughter star previously told Vogue: ‘Sexual wellness is self-care. To me, taking care of your body in a sexual way should be the same as taking care of your body in terms of nutrients, skincare, exercise, etc. Sex is important and special, and should be treated as such.’

Maude sells an assortment of toys, lubricants, massage oils and candles, and bath products, all in a neutral colour palette.

More: Sex

It seems Higher Power singer Chris’s gift haul this Christmas might be a bit spicier than usual, as his ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow also suggests sex toys are the perfect gifts.

In the 2021 edition for her wellness brand Goop’s notorious gift guide, 11 sex toys are recommended for presents, including a double-sided wand vibrator, a self-heating G-spot vibrator, ‘sex serum’ and a ‘bunny plug’ to rival Dakota’s offering.
