WATCH: Baby-Faced Sebastian Vettel With a Dashing Helmut Marko During Red Bull Academy Days
Sebastian Vettel is a four-time world champion. He will surely go down as one of the best drivers in the history of Formula One. Vettel holds many records to his name and is still the youngest driver to win a championship.
Most of his success came with the Red Bull Racing team. He came into the team after graduating from the Red Bull Academy program to Toro Rosso to Red Bull.
Sebastian Vettel raced for the Austrian team from 2009 to 2014. In that six-year spell, he won 38 races with the team and claimed four consecutive championships from 2010 to 2013.

Marko and Vettel have shared a very good relationship through the years. And the throwback image of 2002 shows its beginning. The German driver still takes advice from the Austrian from time to time regarding his career.
It was the Sebastian Vettel we know: Helmut Marko
As reported by F1only.fr, Marko had initially advised Vettel to not go to Aston Martin after being released from Ferrari. He had mentioned to his former charge to take a sabbatical and return to a top team a year later.
However, after Vettel claimed Aston Martin’s first podium in Baku when he finished P2, Marko was very impressed.

“It was the Vettel we know, the way he got on the podium, but especially his passing maneuvers, his fights with Gasly, the first lap. I am really happy that this change has taken place in a very short period of time and I hope that it will be the case in other races as well.”
“He is number one in the Stroll team, which daddy [Lawrence Stroll, owner of the team, note] will not find so well,” said Helmut Marko. (quotes translated from French to English via Google Translate)
We often see both greeting and talking to each other at the paddock in race weeks. It is nice to see that they both respect each other even after all these years and despite not working with each other anymore.
