Jose Mourinho’s Roma ‘offered chance to sign Aaron Ramsey on loan transfer from Juventus as he continues to struggle’

AARON RAMSEY could reportedly be given a lifeline by Jose Mourinho as the Welshman tries to revive his Serie A career.

Juventus have offered the 30-year-old to Roma on a ‘free loan’ until the end of the season as the outcast continues to stew in Turin.

Ramsey has played just 112 minutes of Serie A football this season, and according to Calciomercato he could head south to Rome in January.

The proposed deal wouldn’t see Roma having to pay a loan fee – and Juve would still fork out 60 percent of his £165,000-a-week wages.

It means the move would cost Roma just the £1.5million of Ramsey’s remaining earnings until the summer.

Juve boss Max Allegri is desperate to move the 69-cap Welshman on – with the club also considering TERMINATING his contract entirely.

But doing so would incur legal consequences with the midfielder contracted to the club until 2023.

It means they would rather send him out on loan and have offered him to Roma, as well as other unnamed clubs.

Mourinho is said to have been a fan of ex-Arsenal man Ramsey while he was managing Spurs and is keen to finally link up with his long-term target.

And with Mourinho’s honeymoon spell at Roma well and truly over the former Manchester United boss is desperate for reinforcements.

After seven wins in his opening eight games in all competitions, Roma have won just one of their last seven.

That includes the humiliating 6-1 Europa Conference League thrashing at the hands of Norwegian minnows Bodo/Glimt.

The awful run of form saw the Portuguese boss go on a sensational rant at his players following the 3-2 defeat to Verona.

He openly criticised some of his team, including midfielders Jordan Veretout and Lorenzo Pellegrini.

That criticism has led to Roma being linked with the likes of Ramsey and Swiss midfielder Denis Zakaria.

The Borussia Mochengladbach man is into the final year of his contract with the Bundesliga outfit and is also a target for Arsenal.
