LeBron James Shows Respect For Kyle Kuzma After Latter Defends Him Against Cavaliers

The 2021-22 NBA campaign has been full of surprises so far. Teams that were predicted to start with a bang, are still struggling through games, whereas the underdogs have completely taken over. Currently, in the Eastern Conference, the Washington Wizards and Kyle Kuzma are at the top with an 8-3 record. Whereas, the team he left, LeBron James’ Lakers is still trying to find its rhythm.

At first, it seemed like Kuzma left the team with a lot of animosity towards the organization, even LeBron, for trading him. However, with the recent events pertaining to Kyle defending his former teammate, James couldn’t help but show his appreciation for it.

The Los Angeles Lakers had been circling around trading Kuzma for a while before it actually happened. His inability to step on and inconsistency were the biggest concerns. So, when it did happen, and he moved to play for the Washington Wizards, there was a lot of speculation around how he will fit in there.

However, it is safe to say that he has found the place for himself. Not only are the Wizards one of the tough competitors in the East, Kuzma just won hearts with his Buzzer beater against Bron’s former team the Cleveland Cavaliers, and ended the night with 22 points. It was his late heroics that helped them seal this vital 97-94 victory. But who knew this match would result in some trash-talking on Kuzma’s part, whilst defending Bron.

By responding to some hecklers and stating that the Cavaliers wouldn’t be anything if they didn’t have the kid from Akron back then, Kyle caught everyone’s attention. Even LeBron’s, who showed his appreciation and respect for Kyle on his Instagram.

Kyle Kuzma, turning into a rising star?

It seems like those who thought that Kuz just needed to get out of a team with so many superstars, and then grow, was right. Being Bradley Beal’s right-hand man has worked wonders for the youngster.

Not sure about the Lakers, but the Washington Wizards are definitely thanking their luck for acquiring him. So far, at least. And if he continues to put up numbers like he is now, he can talk back to the hecklers all he wants. Looks like he just needed the right place to flourish, and utilize what he brings to the table in the best way possible.
