Max Verstappen Hints at His Racing Interests outside F1

Max Verstappen is one of the most talented drivers on the Formula One grid. However, the Red Bull prodigy hasn’t given up hopes on racing in Le Mans.

But, for now, the 24-year-old is focused on his F1 championship, where he has a 19-point gap over arch-rival, Lewis Hamilton.

Max Verstappen hasn’t crossed off the idea of Le Mans

Le Mans is one of the most iconic races in the world of motorsports. Hence, the Red Bull prodigy aims to take part in the series, but in the distant future when it becomes more clear of what he wants to achieve.

Being asked by Autosport, Max said, “Yeah, we do talk about it a little bit. Hypercar is now coming along, but it still needs a few more entries to be fully established.”

“I think it takes a few more years to really get a bit more of a proper picture of what I want to do possibly in Le Mans,” he concluded.

The Dutch driver isn’t sure how Red Bull will perform in Brazil

The Milton-Keynes-based outfit are heading to Interlagos after winning the recent Mexican GP. However, Verstappen isn’t optimistic about how things will go this weekend.

As quoted by Motorsport.com, Verstappen said, “We’re going to Brazil now and it’s hard to say how competitive we will be. We won the race in 2019 but the fight was close the whole race. I think it’s going to be the same this year. We’ll see what the weather will be like, as the power scheme can be significantly affected.”
