WWE legend Randy Orton saves child from being squashed against barrier by urging crowd back during UK tour

Randy Orton showed he’s more than just a legendary wrestler as he saved a young fan from being squashed during the recent WWE Live UK tour.

The Raw Tag Team Champion, who currently holds the gold as one half of RK-Bro with fellow superstar Riddle, was part of the company’s trip this month as they successfully defended their titles four nights in a row against The Street Profits and the Dirty Dawgs.

It was business as usual for the champs in Birmingham on November 5 as they once again won the bout, and did a lap of honour afterwards to shake hands, take selfies and sign autographs.

However, a video uploaded on YouTube shows Orton take a moment when he notices a child was being pushed against the barrier by other fans trying to closer to the Viper.

Realising what was happening, he leaned down to ask the youngster if they were OK, and then urged the crowd to back up and make some space, explaining that they needed to be careful.

Top marks!

Elsewhere on the Birmingham show at the Utilita Arena, Damian Priest won a Fatal Four Way against Finn Balor, Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins to retain his United States Title, while Austin Theory beat John Morrison in singles action.

Liv Morgan beat Carmella on the show, and Reggie kept hold of the 24/7 Title despite the best efforts of Drake Maverick.

And in two blockbuster matches, Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch defeated Bianca Belair and Doudrop, while Big E pinned Bobby Lashley to retain the WWE Title in a Street Fight.

The seven-date tour – which included a Raw and SmackDown Super Show in London on November 6 – ended on Wednesday night (November 10) at the AO Arena in Manchester as the blue brand rolled into town.

Kicking off with Sheamus and WALTER battling Drew McIntyre and Finn Balor, the show also featured more big names like Jeff Hardy, Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura and Sami Zayn.

In a fantastic main event capping off the tour in style, Charlotte Flair beat Sasha Banks to retain her SmackDown Women’s Championship.

WWE Raw (Mondays) and SmackDown (Fridays) air every week at 1am on BT Sport 1.
