Dynamite on Top: AEW Ratings This Week Go Up Big

The countdown to the biggest show of AEW’s history has finally begun. In less than 3 days, the world will witness an epic clash between Kenny Omega and Hangman Adam Page. However, this isn’t the only thing that AEW has to offer in this final week before the pay-per-view. A live show, Rampage is still in the books.

This past week, Tony Khan pulled off an impressive feat with Dynamite, as the show reeled in big numbers. It seems like the promotion has finally managed to turn up the ratings big time, which might be bad news for the WWE.

AEW is making serious headways in the community

According to a report from industry analyst Bryan Alvarez, the latest episode of Dynamite has made a serious impact. This episode reeled nearly 1 million viewers while the show’s rating also grew immensely. The sheer star power of the young roster has definitely helped it to become a significant name in just a 2-year span.

This is just the beginning for the promotion, as it recently absorbed global superstars in CM Punk, Adam Cole, and Bryan Danielson. However, there is still room for more and Tony Khan is actively scouting for talented individuals, who make their mark.

The promotion has gotten a lot of things right in building a fantastic tag-team division, investing in women’s division, and stitching interesting storylines. If it continues in this vein, it won’t be long before the viewership will grow into the millions and finally become capable of standing toe-to-toe with WWE’s SmackDown.

One fan in the thread suggested that NXT only pulled 599k viewers, which is significantly lower than AEW’s number. However, SmackDown is still on a red hot streak with last week’s viewership going past the 2.1 million mark. This still doesn’t change the fact that AEW’s rise has been unprecedented and, in due time, it can build enough steam to become the best show in the world.
