The 2021-22 PGA Tour season has just begun, and it will have a month off from December 6th to January 2nd. Moreover, the Tour will have all the prominent events coming after the Christmas break. The major championship events will begin in April, with the prestigious Masters and ending with The Open Championship in July. 

Meanwhile, Patrick Cantlay dominated the previous season with four wins. He even won the ultimate Tour Championship and became the FedExCup champion. But as we move into the 2021-22 PGA Tour season, there are a few things to look forward to. Here are our five bold predictions for the 2021-22 PGA Tour season.

As the PGA Tour season is heading towards the break for a month in December, fans are excited to see how this season unfolds. There are a lot of incredible things to look forward to. So let us have a look at the five bold predictions for the 2021-22 PGA Tour season. 

1. Tiger Woods to make a comeback on the PGA Tour 

The greatest golfer of all-time Tiger Woods might make a comeback on the PGA Tour for the time since 2019. Woods had to stop playing golf as he met with a horrific solo car crash in February 2020. But given his recent updates about recovery, he might make a comeback later in 2022 and enjoy a fresh start on the Tour.

2. Justin Thomas to win multiple events

Justin Thomas had a disappointing 2020-21 season even after winning the Players Championship. However, JT has started the 2021-22 season on a high note, as he had a T18 and a T3 finish in two starts so far. He is looking in great touch and is slowly getting back into his rhythm. Thus, we predict he’ll taste success on multiple occasions this year. 

3. Collin Morikawa to win his third major championship

Collin Morikawa is one of the most prominent youngsters on the Tour. He has two major championships in his career so far, and he will be looking to get his third major victory this season. The 24-year-old has won the PGA Championship in 2020 while the Open Championship in 2021. Hence, he will be aiming for another major trophy this season to increase his tally to three in three years.

4. Rory McIlroy to complete career grand slam

Rory McIlroy was considered to be the next big thing in golf. Moreover, he has even proved it with some exceptional performances as he has won 4-major events in his career so far. Rory has won all the major events except for the Masters. He has been struggling quite a bit at Augusta in the past. But this time, McIlroy might break the jinx and complete the career grand slam by wearing the green jacket.

5. Jon Rahm to retain his top spot in OWGR

Jon Rahm, who is currently the world no.1 golfer, according to OWGR, will remain at the top in the 2021-22 PGA Tour season as well. Even though he hasn’t competed on the Tour since the Tour Championship, he will come back stronger to continue with the momentum he had in the last season.
