Tyler Herro Given NSFW Warning By Lakers Bench After He Tries to Bully A Player

The Los Angeles Lakers matchup against the Miami Heat was one filled with plot twists to the brim. A team that was expected to fold against one of the best in the Eastern Conference, ended up extending the game to overtime and grabbing a 12-117 victory. However, an over-excited Miami Heat player, Tyler Herro was put back in his place when he tried to trash-talk some Lakers bench players.

Tyler Herro has been a rising star in the Heat’s roster. The youngster deserves some rights to gloat after putting up 27 points against a star-studded team like the Lakers. But he should have also known where to stop. Since he didn’t, he was humiliated by the Lakers’ assistant coach, Phil Handy.

Tyler Herro faces Phil Handy’s wrath

It seems like Russell Westbrook is finally finding his footing with the new team. It was thanks to his heroics that helped the Lakers overcome the deficit in the fourth quarter, eventually ensuring they win. We saw the triple-double Westbrook because of which the Lakers acquired his services this offseason in the first place. He finished the night with 25 points, 14 assists, and 12 rebounds.

However, the game-changer for them was bench player Malik Monk, who added 27 points to the scoreboard. Despite being a 9-man army, the Lakers were able to pull off a difficult victory, contrary to their previous games.

But in the midst of it all, Tyler Herro seemed to have been trying to push the Lakers’ bench buttons. So, Phil Handy had to step and tell him, “get your a** back to your bench”. Herro, who played pretty well himself, being one of the lead scorers for Miami, took it a little too far, for Phil to have lost his cool like this.

Tyler Herro tried to stare down/talk to someone on the Lakers’ bench and Phil Handy told him “get your *** back to your bench”.

The Lakers team that was missing all this while

Since LeBron James and other players continue to miss games because of injuries, the Lakers were losing even their easiest of matchups compared to this one. So, when they did win against South Beach, it did come as a happy surprise.

The Lakers added Westbrook with the purpose of him stepping up if Bron isn’t present. Now that he is doing his job, and the purple and gold have some momentum on their side, they should be able to pick it up from here.

But let’s not forget that Miami was missing Jimmy Butler, who walked out mid-game because of an ankle injury. So was the Lakers victory somewhat lucky? Or is it only uphill from here?
