Daughter’s violent ex’s family turn up at my home to ask where she is
DEAR DEIDRE: MY daughter managed to get out of an awful, violent marriage four years ago.

No issue is too small, too large or too embarrassing. Read our personal replies here.
Her ex has no contact with the children but members of his family regularly turn up at my home unannounced – to ask where my daughter and her kids are living or to try to catch me out.
I am a 72-year-old man and dread the day they will turn up again.
I always keep the conversation as short as possible but worry they will take their frustrations out on me or my home – their family do not have the best reputation.
When they ask to see the children, I always politely suggest that they go through the courts for access.
I don’t like my daughter visiting my home any more in case they turn up when she is here.
