When you tell the tale of how you met your spouse, it’s always nice to have an interesting story.
Certainly saying: ‘Well, we met on Married At First Sight (MAFS)’ takes the cake – topping all other potential meet-cutes.
If you like the sound of that, are single and looking for love, and would consider yourself open-minded – then perhaps applying for the UK series is worth considering.
Here, we’ll explain how to apply, plus what we know about the application process.
How can you apply to be on Married At First Sight UK?
Good news to all you single pringles ready to mingle – applications for the 2022 series of MAFS UK are now open.
You’ll need to be aged 18 or over, and prepared to marry the person the show’s experts match you with – whether it’s true love (or lust) at first sight or not.
To apply, email with your name, age, and contact number to marriedatfirstsight@cplproductions.co.uk
Surprisingly, hundreds of people are keen to be part of the experiment – even though few scientifically-matched couples survive it.
For series six, producers CPL wrote on their website that more than 1,500 people applied.
They said: ‘Chosen from an initial pool of over 1500 applicants, individuals each seeking long-term love have been carefully assessed by a panel of experts in the fields of psychology, social & evolutionary anthropology and theology.
‘Once matched by the experts the highly compatible couples will prepare to enter into a legally-binding marriage with a complete stranger – meeting for the very first time at their own wedding.’
