Lakers Reporter Frustrated By Russell Westbrook As He “Looks at Phone” During Press Conference

The Los Angeles Lakers are one of the most distinguished NBA franchises. NBA-crazed fans all over the globe have thronged to support the franchise. The Los Angeles-based franchise has boasted of a world-class roster over the years. The Lakers roster currently features stars like LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Carmelo Anthony, Russell Westbrook, and others.

A star-powered Lakers roster has, however, not ruled out the franchise from starting the season on a poor note. An opening night loss to the Golden State Warriors also raised questions about the Lakers’ mediocre form.

The franchise brought in Russell Westbrook as an offseason signing to complement the superstar duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis. However, Westbrook involved himself in a controversy in the post-game conference following their game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Call me crazy, but I think it’s just a bit disrespectful to look at your phone during an entire postgame interview, especially after getting blown out. Just me, I guess. Manners. What a concept.

Reporter Ryan Ward, a reporter for the ‘Lakers Nation’, tweeted that a player had disrespected reporters at the post-game conference. Sideline Sources revealed Westbrook as the player on an Instagram post. The Instagram video shows Westbrook engrossed in his phone while answering reporters’ questions.

These two 1979 events heralded a new era of success for the franchise. The organization is currently owned by Jerry’s daughter, Jeanie Buss, who has overseen the acquiring of stars like LeBron James and Anthony Davis.
