WATCH: Michael Jordan Shouts in Anger as Hornets Player Airballs a Shot

The Charlotte Hornets were in absolute ruins when Michael Jordan bought them over a decade ago. They continued their struggle for a long time, with just two playoff appearances since his takeover. But since the last season, the team has turned a new page and Jordan is certainly happy about it.

After letting go of franchise superstar Kemba Walker, the Hornets decided to go into rebuild mode. This has helped them to build a strong young core who have brought in a lot of fans back to the arenas. This season they have had a solid start, winning seven out of their first 14 games.

Tonight, they beat the New York Knicks, 104-96, and treated their fans to an impressive win over their Eastern Conference rivals. And owner Jordan would have been happy with the win. But fans could notice how the competitor in him was still not fully satisfied with the performance.

With around 40 seconds left on the clock, the Hornets were up by seven when Oubre Jr. got the ball in the corner. Although he was open for a jumpshot, he also had an empty lane in front of him for an easy finish. But he chose to go for the three, and embarrassed himself with an air-ball. Jordan was far from pleased by this, as he mouthed a few angry words watching this attempt.

Michael Jordan was in good spirits before the game

One of Michael Jordan’s most iconic clips in his history as Hornets owner is when he slapped Malik Monk’s head in frustration. But tonight he had a very contrasting moment before the game began.

Prior to tip-off, Jordan was sitting courtside. He had a big smile on his face as he shared a light moment with his players as the commentator rightly said, “GOAT in the house.”

Although his mood changed later in the game, he would be happy to walk away with a win over the Knicks. During his playing days, he had a lot of battles against Patrick Ewing’s Knicks, including their famous 1993 Eastern Conference Final. So Jordan would be pleased to notch another win over his former rivals.
